B.E.D. Trio is a musical group that seeks to combine many different genres of music into one cohesive entity. Jazz, gospel, funk, and electronic are just a few of the many genres used to create the trio's unique musical experience. All three contribute creatively to the music, with each tune being composed or arranged by one of the members. The group also emphasizes collaborating with other artists and musicians, allowing the group to create a wider dynamic. Artists and groups that have influenced the B.E.D. Trio are The Robert Glasper Trio, The Bad Plus, Bill Evans Trio, and Snarky Puppy. These are just a few of the many artists and groups B.E.D. trio pulls from to create their sound.
Brandon is a drummer born and raised in Bellevue, Nebraska. He is always looking for ways to push the boundaries and come up with new ideas and new sounds. Having received a degree in jazz drum set from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Brandon uses his jazz influences mixed with some of the genres he grew up with, R&B, Hip-hop, Soul, and Blues, to contribute in creating the new sounds and ideas the group strives to achieve.
Eddie Walker is an Omaha transplant who has been playing bass guitar since middle school. A lover of the groove—in constant pursuit of the pocket, he has learned music from great musicians all over the country as a military brat, and loves to share the joy of music. As the “E” member of B.E.D., he is ever engaging in euphoric, endless endeavors.
As a jazz pianist in the omaha area, Daniel is dedicated to merging his different experiences as a musician into a cogent performance or composition. Growing up, he mainly played in church. Later, he started attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha to study music technology. As a result Daniel has recieved training in audio engineering, audio production, jazz piano, and classical piano. He hopes that each side of his musical upbringing will be represented in the music played by the trio.
